Changes to Mini Registration - Please read:
It has just been announced that from this season all mini rugby players in Ulster will now have to be formally registered with the Branch in the same way as Youth and senior players.
This means that there will be some extra administration to be done by all at the start of this season. In addition to the Club registration form, all players now must complete an IRFU registration form as well as provide a copy of their birth certificate and two passport sized photographs signed on the reverse.
Each player will then officially receive a player number from the IRFU and an official registration card. The IRFU forms will be available this Saturday at registration and also here as a download.
Please be aware that if this paperwork is not done then you run the risk of your child not being able to participate in tournaments through the season, although we have a couple of weeks to complete the exercise so it doesn't stop us getting started this season.
This move has come about for a couple of reasons - firstly, to harmonise the way in which all players involved in rugby are registered with the Branch, and also to ensure that there is complete transparency around players ages when it comes to blitzes, tournaments and single matches.
Armagh RFC appreciate that it increases the short term administration burden on parents but firmly believe that this is the best way forward. For this season, the cost of the cards will be met by the Club.
Thanks
