Armagh Mini Rugby opens its' doors for the new season on Saturday September 06th.
Armagh Mini Rugby looks forward to welcoming back all players, existing and new.
The age groups cater for children from P1 up to Yr 1, and training is held between 10:00am & 11:15am every Saturday morning with all groups looked after by a series of fully qualified coaches.
All new players are welcome and we cater for all shapes, sizes and levels of ability as the emphasis is firmly on enjoyment.
Due to changes in the age cut off date for each group, the following are now the age bands which apply for all Age Grade Rugby in Armagh.
We no longer divide players by school year but by year of birth. This will mean that some players jump one year, but be assured that their safety will always be paramount and we will not risk any injury due to size discrepancies as a result of this change.
At Mini Rugby there will still be an introductory group, previously P1 and P2, for players who are at school but were born after 2003.
Under 07 - Players born in 2003 (this group play non contact Tag)
Under 08 - Players born in 2002
Under 09 - Players born in 2001
Under 10 - Players born in 2000
Under 11 - Players born in 1999
Under 12 - Players born in 1998
All players and parents should report for registration on Saturday Sept 12th from 09:30am on.
Please be aware that all players must complete both Armagh Rugby Club and IRFU registration forms, the latter must be accompanied by a copy of the players birth certificate and 2 passport sizes photographs.
Forms will be available on the morning, any player who completed the IRFU registration in full last season will not have to do so again this year. Annual fees are £50.00 for the season, or just over £1.55 per day.
Fees for those who wish to pay weekly are £3.00 per week. Armagh Rugby Club apologies for the increase in fees, however these are entirely due to increased insurance and affiliation costs which are outside our control.
