Armagh Mini Rugby Registration

01st September 2008

Armagh Mini Rugby opens its' doors for the new season on Saturday September 06th. Following on from last year when it won the Community Sport Award at the Armagh Sports Forum dinner, this season promises to be bigger and better than ever.

With the timetable almost complete for the forthcoming season, obvious highlights will be Armagh U12s travelling to Terenure RFC on Sunday October 12th to represent Ulster at the National Blitz.

While all groups from P3 to Yr 1 will make our annual trip to Dublin to play Coolmine on 22nd November, the same day as Ireland take on Argentina at Croke Park.

Some of our players will also play under lights for the first time as our P6 and P7 sides will take place in Lurgan's Friday night blitz, at Pollock Park, on Friday November 07th.

The season will finish as always with Armaghs own Blitz on April 04th 2009, an event which is expected to welcome over 1000 players to the Palace Grounds from clubs all over Ireland.

Mini Rugby Coaching

Armagh Mini Rugby looks forward to welcoming back all players, existing and new.

The age groups cater for children from P1 up to Yr 1, and training is held between 10:00am & 11:15am every Saturday morning with all groups looked after by a series of fully qualified coaches.

All new players are welcome and we cater for all shapes, sizes and levels of ability as the emphasis is firmly on enjoyment.

All players and parents should report for registration on Saturday Sept 6th from 09:30am on.

Please be aware that all players must complete both Armagh Rugby Club and IRFU registration forms, the latter must be accompanied by a copy of the players birth certificate and 2 passport sizes photographs.

Forms will be available on the morning, any player who completed the IRFU registration in full last season will not have to do so again this year. Annual fees are £50.00 for the season, or just over £1.55 per day.

Fees for those who wish to pay weekly are £3.00 per week. Armagh Rugby Club apologies for the increase in fees, however these are entirely due to increased insurance and affiliation costs which are outside our control.

Thanks Paul
