Mini Rugby Codes Of Conduct

01st September 2008

Armagh Rugby Club are proud of their inclusive and wide reaching mini rugby section.

Over 160 children from more than 40 schools were registered as mini players during the 2006/07 season giving Armagh Rugby Club one of the biggest mini sections in the country. All our coaches are qualified at Ulster Branch Foundation level and have signed up to the Irish Rugby Football Unions code of ethics.

At Armagh Rugby Club we firmly believe that enjoyment comes first for all participants and that by playing and behaving within the laws and the spirit of the game then the experience of rugby is significantly improved. Adhering to our code of conduct with your support will enhance your childs enjoyment.

The following are our guiding principles:

  • The young players welfare is paramount.

  • All young players, regardless of age, culture, gender, or religious belief have the right to protection from abuse.

  • Any suspicion or allegation of abuse will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately.

The following pages outline the conduct we expect from players, spectators and parents as well as what you can expect from us in return. Remember that all our coaches and helpers are volunteers and without them there would be no mini rugby.

Their commitment to your children needs to be respected and we would ask that you give them your help if requested.
