Armagh started off their league campaign with a hard fought win away to Malahide. Claire Knipe opened the scoring after just 10mins scoring under the posts, this was then converted by out half Mary Croarkin. Malahide came back and scored twice before half time.
They also opened the scoring in the 2nd half, but Armagh undeterred by this, dug deep to put Susan Anderson over the line after a quick tap penalty on the 5 metre line, this was left unconverted. In the dying minutes and after some continuous indiscipline by the Malahide pack this allowed Susan Anderson in once more under the posts, which was converted by Mary Croarkin.
Player of the Match was Leslie McGarrity.
