City of Armagh Thirds kept up their impressive Junior League campaign when they travelled to Monaghan on Saturday in blustery, showery conditions to play on a sticky pitch.
Armagh realised straight away they were going to be in for a difficult afternoon when a couple of silly mistakes allowed Monaghan to make their way into th e Armagh half. City of Armagh 3rd XV started their pursuit of the Forster Cup with an emphatic victory on a glorious afternoon at the Palace Grounds.
After a five week break, Armagh appeared a little rusty and started slowly making simple mistakes and gifting the opposition possession. However, after 10 minutes, Harry Boyd converted a penalty after the opposition crumbled under intense Armagh pressure.

City of Armagh 3rd's unequivocal unbeaten run continued on Saturday thanks to a convincing victory on a cold afternoon at the Palace Grounds.
Having to start the game with 14 men, Armagh thought they would be up against it. Lurgan also had a man turn up late so it was 14 against 14. This seemed to drive Armagh on as right from the kick off, Armagh dominated up front and created space for Matthew Allen to go over in the corner.

City of Armagh 3rd's kept their unbeaten home record intact with another scintillating triumph on Saturday at the Palace against CIYMS 3rd XV.
The game started much better than Armagh had planned. Although the visitor’s started with 14 men, Armagh’s skilful handling created a chance for Robert Straghan to dance around a weak defence.

Armagh thirds made up for last week’s disappointing loss to league leaders Ballymoney, when they travelled and defeated Randalstown on Saturday leapfrogging the hosts to second place in the league.
Armagh started slowly and made several handling errors. They attacked the opposition line and played most of the first half in the Randalstown 22. City of Armagh 3rd XV continued their winning ways with a dominant performance against a strong Monaghan 2nd XV at the Palace Grounds. With Chris Wallace and John Falloon returning from injuries Armagh were able to field a strong side and being the only team playing at the Palace Grounds a good crowd of supporters turned out despite the blustery weather.

City of Armagh Thirds XV made it two from two in the Junior League when they travelled to Lurgan on Saturday to play the hosts’ Second string, in blustery and showery conditions.
A strong Lurgan team encamped themselves in the Armagh half with the strong breeze to assist them. Applying heavy pressure, Lurgan took the lead after ten minutes with a penalty. Newly promoted City of Armagh 3rd XV took the field with a few regulars missing from last season. These regulars being snapped up by the, (team of the year), Seconds shows the quality of players in the Thirds, with the vital development going on within the 3rds which doesn’t often get the credit it deserves.
Armagh welcomed back Bob Bell after a 3 year rest, amongst a few young players making there debut in Senior Rugby.
