| Dream Team Win Minor League At Dungannon |
12th Apr 2008 |
 |
Dungannon started strongly, but Armagh were awarded with a penalty after a quick breakout by Willie McSorley, which Davy Nicholson converted.
Both sides continued to play attacking rugby and following some great attacking rugby, Stanley Hamilton scored the first of his three tries.
Dungannon succeeded in scoring a breakaway try late in the second half, but the 3rds followed up with another try to ensure they were crowned league champions.
This was a very pleasing end to the league campaign and captain Peter Hazelton would like to thank Colin Cochrane for his help with organising a team each weekend along with all those players who turned out for the 3rds throughout the season.

Following a minutes silence in memory of club stalwart, Jim Scott, Armagh 3rds entertained Newry at the Palace grounds and they recorded a very satisfying 53-3 victory.
It took Armagh somes twnety minutes before they scored their first try through Simon Beckett, the first of a brace of tries he was to score. Armagh's wingers went on to score 4 tries on an evening when the forwards provided plenty of possession for a very quick backline of youth and experience.
Further tries were scored by both forwards and backs in what was a very satisfying result for a team requiring a win over Dungannon to record another league title.
