The Harden Cup was established in 1898 and this is the first occasion that an Armagh’s side has won the cup outright. An Armagh team in 1964 shared the cup with a North of Ireland club side.

Armagh 2nd XV will play in the Harden Cup Final this Saturday, 10th May, at Ballymena's Grounds, against City of Derry with a 1.00 pm kick off time.

Armagh 2nd XV duly got the reward they deserved against Ballynahinch 4th XV as they ran out winners by 40 points to 05 at the Palace. On a pitch in East Belfast which looked more like an Olympic Pool than a rugby pitch great credit must go to both sides for playing the fixture and to the referee for allowing the game to go ahead. On Saturday, Armagh made the trip to Belfast to face Belfast Harlequins 4th's in another important league encounter. Buoyed by their excellent win over Portadown 2nd's in the cup the previous week, Armagh took to the field full of confidence and with a strong looking line up.

| Armagh Pre-Season Training Starts |

Full training for all Armagh Rugby teams starts on Tuesday 17th July 2007 at 7.30pm sharp and all players are asked to turn out.
Training will progress then on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Armagh have also lined up a number of friendly matches, during August, before the league kicks off again in September. |
